Privacy Policy

HomeInteli is built to need as little personal information as possible. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We do not sell your data.

What we collect

• An anonymous device identifier — a single signed, HTTP-only cookie (pi_id) that lets us remember the reports you ran on this device. It is functional, not advertising.
• Listing links and the reports they generate — the URLs you submit and the analysis we produce, so you can revisit and compare them.
• Account details (optional) — only if you create an account: your email address and a password, which we store hashed (scrypt), never in plain text.
• Payment — processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we keep only whether a given report was paid for.
• Support messages (optional) — if you contact us via the support form or chat, we receive what you write plus the email you provide on the form, so we can reply.

We do not require your name, phone number, home address, date of birth, or any sensitive personal data.

How we use it

To generate and store your property reports, run your account and purchases, and improve the product in aggregate. To produce a report, the listing URL and relevant public data are sent to our analysis provider (Anthropic) and to web search; payment is handled by Stripe. These providers process the data on our behalf.

Support chat: messages you type into the chat widget are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate an answer and are subject to its data-processing terms. Don't put passwords, card numbers, or other sensitive data in chat — for anything sensitive, use the support form instead.

Cookies

We use one strictly-functional cookie (pi_id). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies and do not run third-party ad trackers.

We do not sell or share your personal information

HomeInteli does not sell your personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) and comparable state laws. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months, including for anyone under 16. Because we do not sell or share, there is nothing for you to opt out of — but you can still exercise every other right below.

We honor Global Privacy Control and other opt-out preference signals. If your browser sends one, we record it automatically as an opt-out for that browser and never set optional cookies for it.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live — including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Tennessee, Minnesota and Maryland, and under GDPR/UK GDPR — you may have the right to:

• Know and access the personal information we hold about you, and how it is used.
• Correct inaccurate personal information.
• Delete your personal information.
• Obtain a portable copy of the information you gave us.
• Opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, and profiling with legal effects — none of which we do.
• Be free from discrimination for exercising any of these rights. We do not offer financial incentives for your data.

How to submit a request. Email privacy@homeinteli.com or use the support form, and say which right you are exercising. We will verify your request against the email on your account before acting on it, and respond within 45 days (extendable once where the law allows, and we will tell you if we need the extension). Using the service is not required to make a request.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request. We will ask for proof of their authority and may ask you to confirm it directly.

Appeals. If we refuse your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing privacy@homeinteli.com with "Appeal" in the subject. We will respond within 45 days with our decision and the reasons for it. If we deny the appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.

Retention

You can delete your reports, and request deletion of your account and associated data, at any time. We keep what we need to run the service and meet tax and accounting obligations, and no longer.

Security

Passwords are hashed; sessions use signed, HTTP-only cookies. No system is perfectly secure, but we minimize what we hold so there is little to expose.

Children

HomeInteli is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
